Photocatalytic Degradation of Azo Dyes Using Microreactors: Mechanistic Study of its Effects on H2O2 Addition

The photocatalytic reaction involved in TiO<sub>2</sub> photocatalysis was investigated using a microreactor coated with film on the glass plate attached one side of microreactor. It confirmed that effect H<sub>2</sub>O<sub>2</sub> degradation efficiency azo dyes (acid orange 7, acid red 151, and yellow 23) dependent polymorphs (anatase rutile) UV-irradiated Scavengers holes (KI) electrons (p-benzoquinone) were added to solution dyes, their effects efficiencies dye 7) system investigated. found electron scavengers p-benzoquinone showed much larger than hole KI. Based these results, mechanism presence proposed.
